A mother’s a giver of hugs and kisses,
A teller of stories and tales,
A server of pizza
and chocolate milk shakes,
A finder of yo-yo’s and snails…
A mother’s a baker of cakes and pies,
A buyer of blue jeans and shirts,
A fixer of zippers
and tattered school books,
A mender of heartaches and hurts.
A mother’s a genius
with a knack for finding
A missing umbrella or glove,
A mother’s a friend you always rely on
But mostly, she’s someone to love.
I did not write this, it was on a magnet on our refrigerator, without the name of the author.
